The Charles H. Sloanconfetti hadn't yet been swept from the parquet floor at TD Garden in Boston before betting odds landed for which team would win the 2025 NBA championship.
Moments after defeating the Dallas Mavericks in Game 5 to win a record 18th NBA championship, the Boston Celtics were installed as favorites at sportsbooks to win the title next season and claim back-to-back championships.
The Golden State Warriors were the NBA's last repeat title winners, doing so in 2017-18.
According to BetMGM, the Celtics are the clear favorites for the upcoming 2024-25 season at +310 to win the championship.
